30 gram maroon,in a drainpipe, 10,000 bbs on top, aim at an angle and fire

instant BB rain.

this cannot be used as a direct fire weapon as it would probably be a tadge over 330 fps at the muzzle.

but once there in the air, they will fall like raindrops and not hurt at all

Plus using an explosive to propel the bbs... rather like a canon firing grapeshot don't you think? That HAS to be illegal!

Hmm... my moderator mode is going to kick in here... lets not discuss stuff that could be illegal... ta!

yeah, never trust a vicar with a shotgun!

Seriously though, I think CO2/compressed air is the way to go here, less chance of falling the wrong side of the law!

Whats wrong with crow scarers and a Black widow catapult.? I've been using this as a pocket sized panzerfaust for a while now . Would'nt use em indoors , but in woodland is fine . MK5's work with it as well , I just prefer cs's cos they are so much cheaper.

I'n with you on that one, Crowscarers launched with a slingshot make excellent simulated mortor fire. we used to use them down at spec-ops, the mortar crew had to carry and setup a RS deact portable mortar before they could fire em. It was worked into the screnarios so that the Opfor had to locate and take-out the mortar battery as a sub-plot. We sometimes used to put the CS's into small new potatos to create a bit of Scrapnel and it also improved the range a bit! Nobody really minded getting a wee bit of tatty on them! :D

Another idea, how about launching those little ballon water bombs, contain in a cardboard sabot to stop it bursting when it is fired. The worst that can happen then is that you could just get a little wet! Dunno how far a moscart would propel it though as it'd be a fair bit heavier than a nerf.

So don’t think I marched there for this reason – it could carry another name – but because there is a very important goal... this goal I wanted to take – and you know – we are very modest, we have it already."

"Comrades, Red Army men, commanders and political workers, men and women guerrillas! It is on your perseverance, staunchness, fighting skill and readiness to discharge your duty to the country that the defeat of the German-fascist army and the liberation of the Soviet land from the Hitlerite invaders depend! We can and must clear the Soviet land of Hitlerite vermin."

Heh, like we used at our F&O Battle of the Bulge game - easiest and safest solution to accurate mortar fire!

Nerf rockets via bazookas used against vehicles is nice and easy though.

Confession time this was made about 6 years ago before Nerf rockets existed as far as I know. The top one was to be an airsoft piat to fire grenades but I only tested it with golf balls and the range was poor but with some work it could fire a large nerf rocket as in the picture.
There is an internal pipe that shoots up the inside and holds the payload.
I keep going to throw it out but never get round to it!

I do not condone the making of the above device.

here's what some Canuks thought... http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread ... 565&page=9

well see what you all think....I believe that the common garden tube be it steel, aluminium or uPVC is probably the way to go along with some form of cap and striker plus CA grenades-seems very do-able...

Hey you put more links than me cool!

Yes this one http://1stprotocol.com/shop/index.php?m ... cts_id=570
is the pipe in a pipe with a moscart + nerf inside shows you how easy it is to make.
May make one when I get my nerfs to test it with.
Also nerf bazooka to take out tank.

I don't think I have a problem with a nerf rocket hitting my tank if anyone wants to make a launcher with moscarts to power it.

Just show it to the site owners and CIA guys before use at an event to get permission.

EDIT
Just looked and 3 mini nerfs in the doorway they will not fit in my 46mmID tank barrel, I think they will fit a 50mmID if you want it a tight fit a 48mm should work though.
They will not hurt anything because they are so soft.

Well I have just been to B&Q and now I remember why UK people don't make these things. You just can not get the parts in UK stores but you can get the 50mm ID down pipe in black for £5 which is now in my shed.

seen this one and have ordered :)

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Paladone-Water- ... B000PCXDJS

cheapest i could find, at about £10 +
it clames to be able to shoot a waterbomb to 8mts, not much but could be handy, i can see it doing a nerf more distance,
if not wing the power up untill it brakes then build some in ally for X5 the power, easyly convert to a upright mortar or piat or 88mm panzershrek thingy,

i think this will be the road i,m going down,
played about a little with the hair spray launcher, not that reliable and it stinks, woman are sick for useing that stuff,

i,l report back with my findings ;)

Did you see this review below though? :?

Really utter trash, 15 Aug 2007
By Ben "McBen" (UK) - See all my reviews

Durability: Fun: Educational:
Save yourself disapointment, and just take it straight to a plastic recycling centre before you unwrap it. Hard for kids to pull back coz the elastic is so strong, yet somehow can only fire the baloon about 3 foot, I've seen chicks fall out the nest with more momentum. Baloons burst 75% of the time, no matter how much you do/dont fill them. Utter tosh!

It will last forever, since no one in my house will play with it!

I tested bungee launcher ideas 7 years ago maybe 10 as seen above and found I could throw stuff further, so gave up on it.
The way to do it with elastic is with an arm catapult style but it looks naf.

So I came to the conclusion air/ gas pressure was the only way to go as they do in the states.
About 4 years ago I was going to make a spud launcher but I could not find the parts here in the UK.
You can not even buy an end cap never mind the 90 degree turn ball valves for the pump up systems.
So I was going to make one out of steel but never got round to it.
I wanted the metal pipe and bungee idea to work so that I could launch airsoft grenades that could not get a good air seal.
However if we use a nerf they seal great and give that cool whistle sound as they travel.
They also throw straight due to the tail fins.

no probs :)
i,v tryed differant things allso,
bungy cross bolt "barreld" was good, used that inside the tiger tank,

bungy catapult, we,l use these for the artillery, with a shield built in, they go a good distanc but must be fix in place cos of the power in the bungy, get a good 50+mts with a smoker,

dog dummy lancher, VERY good, fit a smaller bore pipe and slide in the mk5 thunder flash, go,s about 60-70 mts and even sets the fuse of when fired, (not shore how legal that one is mind ;) handy for small susages to :) (we dount use that one)

A friend of mine was into model rocketry and at one time built a shoulder launcher, next time I see him I'll find out if he's got any photos of it.

I had a quick look on-line and you can get model rocket engines for about a fiver.

As I was writing this I vaguely remembered seeing something on one of the US boards, so I had a quick look and came up with this

Warren does the dog dummy launcher use a 22 blank like this.
http://www.petelectronics.com/PETELECTR ... D=813&iss=

Hence this can/ sealant tube launcher mortar with a 9mm blank, but none of these any good for airsoft
I think this was made in America! :P
